Tomaz Humar made a call today from a few days trekking, where
expedition members enjoy last days before they'll move under huge Dhaulagiri face.
We have been waiting on news from you quite a long time...?
'Yes, we had some problems with our communicating equipment, but we have fixed this at that time. I hope that in the future we will be in contact at least every day or two...'
What are yours first feelings in Nepal ?
'At the moment I'm quite high, around 4800m, I'm waiting on my group. I'm a little bit faster than others, so I have some time to talk...
it's cold up here...'

Did you have any difficulties at arrival ?
'No, not at all, they only wanted to put me in jail because of this iridium phone...They really don't allow any kind of illegal technical equipment...'
I'm sure you already know
what are conditions in Dhaulagiri ?
' Monsoon left behind very wet landscape , so there is a lot of leeches all around. In between our fly I have been looking down, and what I saw it's very good. I think conditions are almost perfect, I'm very optimistic....
OK, I hope to hear you in next days, with more extensive report...
if possible, we will transmit your voice directly to Internet...

We know from the time before Tomaz departure, that monsoon plays very important rule in his plans. To get through first part of the wall Tomaz needs good monsoon season which left behind few hundred meters high icefalls. Without them our story could end in short.
How will he climb 1600m of rock and ice in one night and with 30kg on his back, that's hard to imagine...
